Four Districts Join the NYSIR Family

Tuesday, July 7, 2020

As the 2020-21 school year begins, four more school districts from across New York have joined the reciprocal to avail themselves of the NYSIR Advantage.

Beginning July 1, Tri-Valley Central School District (CSD); Hudson City School District; Fort Edward Union Free School District (UFSD) and Rocky Point UFSD became part of the New York Schools Insurance Reciprocal, bringing the total number of district and BOCES members statewide to 353.

Tri-Valley CSD, which takes its name from two creeks and a river that flow in the area, is in Sullivan County. Hudson City School District is in Columbia County, Fort Edward UFSD is in Clinton County and Rocky Point UFSD is in Suffolk County. With their addition, NYSIR remains New York state’s premier provider of public-school insurance.
