Child Abuse Prevention Services (CAPS) on Long Island has partnered with the New York Mets to officiate a high school video production contest aimed at striking out bullying.
The contest is open to groups of Long Island high school students from 13-18, who will be creating a 60-second public service announcement that promotes positive messages about respect for all, kindness and inclusion. Each finished PSA must be accompanied by a short outline describing how the video will be used in the education community to promote a positive school climate.
First prize will include Citi Field tickets for up to 15 students and two adult chaperones to attend a Mets game, as well as pre-game batting practice and a short on-field ceremony. A runner-up group will receive a shipment of Mets merchandise.
