Playground Equipment Inspection and Maintenance
New York State doesn’t play around with playgrounds. School district compliance with the new 2008 CPSC Handbook for Public Playground Safety is mandated, and as a service to its subscribers NYSIR is sponsoring two seminars on playground equipment inspection and maintenance – one in Kenmore and the other in Brighton – for school maintenance and grounds personnel, custodians and building superintendents.
The seminars, each of which begins at 8:30 a.m. and ends at 11 a.m., will cover preventive maintenance and inspection techniques, hazard identification and updated elements of the new CPSC Handbook. The first is scheduled to be held:

The seminars are free of charge to NYSIR members, and registration and a continental breakfast at both venues will begin at 8 a.m.
